150 get certificates under Skill India programme
Amritsar: A total of 150 #unemployed #youngsters who had recently completed their training under various skill #development #centres being run by the government were given certificates and toolkits by the district administration.
Speaking during a function at #Zila #Parishad #Hall, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) SP Aangra said over 2,500 youngsters had completed their #skill #development #training in the district so far.
The #skill #development centres are being run under the supervision of#North #India Technical Consultancy Organisation (NITCON) and the Department of Planning. Aangra said a target to teach skills to 2,500 youngsters every year had been fixed.
The 150 successful candidates, including 30 girls, had completed their course in trades like refrigeration, air-conditioning, inverter repair and assembling.
