Amritsar: A total of 150 ‪#‎unemployed‬ ‪#‎youngsters‬ who had recently completed their training under various skill ‪#‎development‬ ‪#‎centres‬ being run by the government were given certificates and toolkits by the district administration.

Speaking during a function at ‪#‎Zila‬ ‪#‎Parishad‬ ‪#‎Hall‬, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) SP Aangra said over 2,500 youngsters had completed their #skill #development ‪#‎training‬ in the district so far.

The #skill #development centres are being run under the supervision of‪#‎North‬ #India Technical Consultancy Organisation (NITCON) and the Department of Planning. Aangra said a target to teach skills to 2,500 youngsters every year had been fixed.
The 150 successful candidates, including 30 girls, had completed their course in trades like refrigeration, air-conditioning, inverter repair and assembling.
